After participating in lots of pisco tasting events, Rita became invested in finding the best pisco out there. What started as a journey of discovery ended up being a sort of awakening, and a personal passion project.
There was a clear lack of representation of pisco on a global scale —aside from Peru and a few other countries, people were not really familiar or aware of it. “This is our national drink, it’s great, so why don’t more people know about it?”
This became a quest to share Peru’s history, through Torrentera, with the rest of the world.
